Was founded in 1946 and covered many more classes than we offer today including agricultural classes for corn and other grains. There were ploughing classes too (were these with horses?) and a marquee as the Village Hall was not big enough for all the entries.

Now there are currently two Shows, one in July and the other in September.

Keen amateur gardeners and craftspeople enter classes which include vegetables, flower arranging, handicrafts, cookery and photography. There are cups to be won for all the various sections.

We also try to encourage children to take part in these events and have special classes for them too. Check out our schedule as there are classes which cater for all age groups. We also have an events page featuring our annual outing and a quiz night.

These events are opportunities for the whole village to gather and meet up with old friends or make new ones. Why not enter your prize fruit or veg or just lend your support by coming along to Shalford Village Hall on the day and checking out the exhibits. Then maybe enjoy a cup of tea and a piece of cake. We hope to see you there!

Sample schedule displayed has been delivered in the past to every household within Shalford Community, but unfortunately with rising printing costs the future of this method may be problematic.

Plans for 2023 will just be the one show in August
